
Institute of Cultural Heritage, Tourism, and Hospitality Management (ICHTHM) students and faculty took part in a one-day seminar titled “Uddiyana 2.0: Where Tradition Meets Technology and Innovation,” held at the Archaeological Museum of Swat.
The seminar was organized by the Directorate of Archaeology and Museums, Government of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, in collaboration with the Directorate General of Science and Technology, Government of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. It brought together 40 scholars and researchers from 13 countries, representing prestigious institutions such as Harvard University, MIT, University of Oxford, Munich University, Venice University, and universities from Japan, Hong Kong, China, and Korea.
The event was part of the ongoing International Workshop on Scientific Research and Studies on Gandhara, which began on January 13, 2025, at the Peshawar Museum. Dr. Zarawar Khan, Assistant Professor of Archaeology and In-Charge of ICHTHM, delivered a lecture titled “Preserving the Past: The Role of the University of Swat in Safeguarding the Cultural Heritage of Swat,” which received significant praise from the seminar participants.
