University of Swat hosted the Orientation Session of the project “Empowering Women for Peace and Environmental Justice in Swat,” Implemented by Hashoo Foundation in collaboration with UNDP.
Speaking on the occasion, Prof. Dr. Muhammad Qasim, Vice Chancellor University of Swat, highlighted the vital role of academia and youth in promoting environmental responsibility, peacebuilding, and sustainable development. He appreciated the collaboration between UNDP, Hashoo Foundation, and the University of Swat in strengthening community engagement and environmental awareness across the region.
The event brought together representatives from government departments, academia, civil society, media, and local communities to discuss environmental justice, climate resilience, women’s empowerment, and sustainable peace in Swat.
