Nationwide #Boxing Trials Launched in Swat, Set to Continue Across the Country

Chairman Prime Minister’s Youth Programme (PMYP), Rana Mashhood Ahmad Khan inaugurated the nationwide #boxing trials today in the presence of young athletes from Buner, Shangla, Lower Dir, Upper Dir, and Swat. These trials, organized in collaboration between HEC and PMYP, aim to identify talented athletes and provide them with opportunities at national and international levels.
A large number of male and female athletes from the region participated in the opening ceremony, and spectators thoroughly enjoyed the thrilling boxing matches.
Addressing the ceremony, the Chairman PMYP briefed the players about the PMYP and emphasized that the Government of Pakistan is taking concrete steps to mainstream the youth and nurture their talents. He announced that the second phase of the Talent Hunt Project would be launched soon, covering athletics, hockey, boxing, and other sports to discover hidden talent across the country.
He said that the selected athletes would be provided full support, including world-class training and facilities. Outstanding performers would receive boxing kits, track suits, accessories, and kit bags to help them hone their skills further. Moreover, these athletes would also get opportunities to represent Pakistan on national and international platforms.
