The Vice Chancellor University of Swat meets with the Honorable Chief Minister Khyber Pakhtunkhwa in CM House Peshawar today on December 22, 2024:
Chief Minister Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, His Excellency Ali Amin Gandapur, held a meeting with Prof. Dr. Hassan Sher, Vice Chancellor, University of Swat, to discuss the progress and challenges of the University of Swat. This marked the first formal briefing to the Chief Minister on the institution’s achievements and pressing issues.
During the meeting, Prof. Dr. Hassan Sher highlighted the remarkable strides the University of Swat has made despite facing financial constraints. He briefed the Chief Minister that the university has not received funding from the provincial government for its recurring expenditures, leading to financial difficulties similar to those faced by other universities in the province, however, despite these challenges, the Vice Chancellor outlined the university’s commendable progress during his tenure.
The Chief Minister expressed his appreciation for the university’s achievements and the Vice Chancellor’s efforts in steering the institution towards excellence. Recognizing the need for financial support, he announced his commitment to providing a special grant to the University of Swat. Additionally, His Excellency accepted Prof. Dr. Hassan Sher’s invitation to visit the University of Swat.
