Monsoon Plantation Drive 2023 Launched in University of Swat in Partnership with Divisional Forest Office and WWF
The University of Swat proudly kicked off the Monson Plantation Drive 2023 in collaboration with the Divisional Forest Office, Swat, and the World Wide Fund for Nature (WWF). The inauguration ceremony, held amidst a vibrant gathering of students, faculty members, and environmental enthusiasts, marked the beginning of a collective effort to enhance the region’s green cover and combat climate change.
Under the patronage of the esteemed Chief Guest, Prof. Dr. Hassan Sher, Vice Chancellor of the University of Swat, the event underscored the critical significance of tree plantation in preserving the environment. Prof. Dr. Hassan Sher highlighted the positive impacts of tree planting on air quality, soil conservation, and biodiversity. He emphasized that such initiatives play a pivotal role in mitigating the adverse effects of climate change and creating a sustainable future for generations to come.
