Prof. Dr. Muhammad Qasim Assumes Charge as Vice Chancellor, University of Swat
The University of Swat is pleased to announce that Prof. Dr. Muhammad Qasim has assumed charge as the Vice Chancellor, University of Swat.
Prof. Dr. Muhammad Qasim is a distinguished academician, researcher, and administrator with extensive experience in higher education. He holds a PhD from the University of Leeds, United Kingdom, and has completed Postdoctoral Research at Hokkaido University, Japan. His academic and research contributions, particularly in the fields of environmental sciences, climate change, natural resource management, and sustainable development, have earned him recognition at both national and international levels.
On assuming his new responsibilities, Prof. Dr. Muhammad Qasim expressed his commitment to advancing the University’s mission of academic excellence. He stated that he would dedicate his utmost efforts to enhancing the quality of teaching, research, innovation, and community engagement at the University of Swat. He emphasized the importance of fostering a vibrant academic environment, strengthening research culture, promoting international collaborations, and equipping students with the knowledge and skills required to meet contemporary challenges.
Prof. Dr. Qasim further reiterated his resolve to work closely with faculty, staff, students, alumni, and stakeholders to elevate the University’s academic standing and contribute meaningfully to the socio-economic development of the region and the country.
