The University of Swat Commemorates Youm-e-Marka-e-Haq (May 16)
The University of Swat (UoS), under the Society for the Promotion of Social Sciences, Social Welfare and Awareness, observed Youm-e-Marka-e-Haq (Day of the Battle of Truth) today, marking the successful conclusion of Operation Bunyan-al-Marsoos. The event took place at the Main Campus in Charbagh, Swat, with a series of solemn and patriotic activities.
The observance commenced at 10:30 AM on May 16, 2025, with a Flag-Holstering Ceremony at the Administration Block, led by Prof. Dr. Najib Ur Rahman, Dean, Faculty of Chemical Sciences, University of Swat, on behalf of the Vice Chancellor, UoS (Prof. Dr. Hassan Sher, SAARC Gold Medalist). The ceremony was attended by Deans, Heads of Departments, and a diverse group of students, including both genders.
Following the ceremony, a seminar was held to reflect on the significance of Operation Bunyan-al-Marsoos, which was launched in response to unprovoked Indian aggression. The operation demonstrated Pakistan’s military strength and commitment to defending its sovereignty. The seminar featured discussions on the strategic importance of the operation and its impact on national security.
The event concluded with a Dua (prayer) session, paying tribute to the valiant armed forces and the martyrs who sacrificed their lives for the nation’s defense. The university community expressed deep gratitude for the sacrifices made by the armed forces and reaffirmed its commitment to national unity and peace.
The observance of these days underscores the university’s dedication to fostering a sense of patriotism and national pride among students and staff. It also highlights the importance of remembering and honoring the sacrifices made by the armed forces in safeguarding the nation’s sovereignty.
