Inaugural Session of NCLCC-25 Held at University of Swat
The University of Swat proudly hosted the 2nd Edition of the three day National Conference on Literature, Culture, and Climate (NCLCC-25) today. The event was graced by Mr. Masood Ahmad, Commissioner Malakand Division, as the Chief Guest. Conference Advisor Prof. Dr. Abdur Rauf Rafiqui, a distinguished literary scholar, and National speakers included Mr. Khalid Khan, Climate Advocate; Prof. Arif Khattak, academic and historian, Prof. Dr. Razia Sultana, Vice Chancellor, Women University Mardan; along with many other esteemed academics, researchers, and guests.
In his welcoming remarks, Prof. Dr. Hassan Sher, Vice Chancellor, University of Swat, expressed gratitude to the Commissioner for honouring the opening ceremony. He highlighted the unique significance of NCLCC-25, noting that as climate change continues to reshape landscapes, livelihoods, and cultural memories, it is vital to bring together voices from literature, the humanities, and environmental studies. The conference provides an essential platform where ideas, stories, and research converge to inspire innovative approaches to climate awareness and cultural resilience.
Addressing the audience, the Commissioner Malakand Division commended the Vice Chancellor, conference organizers, faculty, and students for their commitment and hard work in arranging this important national event. He especially appreciated the academic leadership and vision of Prof. Dr. Hassan Sher.
Meanwhile, Dr. Syed Hanif Rasool, Chief Organizer of the conference, extended heartfelt thanks to all the distinguished delegates from across Pakistan for contributing their expertise, creativity, and scholarly energy to NCLCC-25.

Commissioner Malakand Division Mr. Masood Ahmad Emphasizes the Value of Reading at NCLCC-25 Opening Ceremony
The University of Swat successfully hosted the inaugural session of the National Conference on Literature, Culture, and Climate (NCLCC-25) today. The event was graced by Mr. Masood Ahmad, Commissioner Malakand Division, as the Chief Guest.
During his address, Mr. Masood Ahmad, Commissioner Malakand Division, highlighted the importance of reading books, stating that reading broadens perspective, enhances critical thinking, and strengthens societies. He stressed that cultivating a reading culture among youth is essential for intellectual development and national progress. He also appreciated the organizers for bringing together literature, culture, and climate discourse on a common platform.
He further praised the academic leadership and vision of Prof. Dr. Hassan Sher, Vice Chancellor University of Swat, for promoting scholarly engagement and supporting national-level academic activities like NCLCC-25.
