University of Swat in collaboration with GLOF-II Pakistan, UNDP, Ministry of Climate Change, Islamabad, and the Government of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa under Climate Change Fund will celebrate International Mountain Day 2023 on the Theme “Restoring mountain ecosystems” on 11 December, 2023. The day will cover different events like Panel Discussion, Poster Competition, Model Competition, Painting competition and Awareness Walk.
University of Swat assure that this one day Seminar will achieve its objectives and develop a viable strategy for the Restoration of Mountain Ecosystem with the overall goal to Improve Living Standards of Mountain Dwellers and will evolve mechanisms to preserve nature and local culture in the region. The Hon. Vice Chancellor (Prof. Dr. Hassan Sher, SAARC Gold Medalist) will grace the occasion as the Chief Guest.
