Blood donation camp, organized by Society for Disaster Management & Health Affairs in collaboration with Alfajar Foundation, Swat.
A blood donation camp was organized at University of Swat Main Sector-D Campus by Society for Disaster Management & Health Affairs, University of Swat in collaboration with Alfajar Foundation, Swat on October 15, 2019.
Student volunteers from different departments/centres enthusiastically participated in the camp. The purpose of this blood drive was to collect blood for the patients suffering from chronic and life-threatening illnesses including Thalassemia. A total of 45 units blood was collected.
Deputy Director Student societies and other staff members visited the camp and praised the efforts of the whole team. They urged that blood donation is a noble cause and thus frequently needed to be arranged. They encouraged the students to recognize the value of these type of co-curricular activities as part of their development. Organizer, Society for Disaster Management and Health Affairs expressed his thanks to the Campus coordinator, Chief Proctor, all the student donors, cabinet members and Alfajar foundation staff for their enthusiastic efforts and active participation which made this blood donation drive a success.
