Dr. Syed Hanif Rasool Kakakhel, Chairperson, DEFL, University of Swat, joined the panel “Metaphors, Myth, and Cultural Memory in Literature” at CECOS Literary Festival 2026, offering an academically grounded reflection on metaphor and myth as enduring frameworks of cultural memory and collective consciousness. Engaging English and Urdu literary traditions alongside Pashto folklore, he examined the dynamics of metaphorical creation, the phenomenon of dying metaphors, and Sufi feminizing imagery in Amir Khusro and Kabir Das as symbolic sites of spiritual and cultural meaning.
