On the directive of the Chief Minister Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, the University of Swat organized an awareness seminar on the NFC shares and the challenges faced by Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, in collaboration with its affiliated colleges. The University currently has 12,000 enrolled students, while the affiliated colleges collectively have around 15,000 students—bringing the total to nearly 27,000 students engaged in this academic initiative.
Due to limited space on campus, the seminar was arranged at Wadoodia Hall, a large venue with a capacity of 2,000 students. These 2,000 students attended the session physically, where Prof. Dr. Umar Hayat and Prof. Dr. Anwar Hussain served as the resource persons. They delivered detailed awareness sessions and elaborated on the NFC shares and the challenges faced by Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
The remaining students from the University of Swat and all affiliated colleges joined the seminar online via Google Meet, ensuring that every student within the University’s jurisdiction benefited from this important learning opportunity. This hybrid arrangement aimed to enlighten and inform the entire student community on this significant provincial issue.
The Honourable Vice-Chancellor, Professor Dr. Hassan Sher, along with the Provost Office, directly supervised the arrangements. Faculty, staff, and students from across the University and affiliated colleges actively participated to make the event a success
