2nd Meeting of the Institutional Quality Circle (IQC) – University of Swat

The 2nd meeting of the Institutional Quality Circle (IQC), chaired by the Vice Chancellor, Professor Dr. Hassan Sher, was held on November 19, 2025 at the University of Swat.

During the session, the Vice Chancellor briefed members on the HEC’s revamped Quality Assurance Framework—Pakistan Precepts, Standards, and Guidelines (PSG-2023). Key components of the framework, including RIPE, PREE, and SCALE, were discussed in detail.

Dr. Muhammad Tariq, Director QEC, presented the agenda items, including:
🔹 Annual targets assigned by HEC
🔹 QEC Activity Calendar for 2025–26
🔹 Progress on previous IQC decisions such as:
• Inclusion of non-voting QEC members
• Establishment of QEC setups and focal persons in affiliated colleges
• Conduct of feedback surveys through CMS

The forum also deliberated on:
🔹 Establishment of the Student Council for Academic Learning and Enhancement (SCALE)
🔹 Membership acquisition in the Asia Pacific Quality Network (APQN)

The IQC approved:
✔ QEC Activity Calendar 2025–26
✔ PT & AT members for 2025–26
✔ Conduct of CMS-based feedback surveys
✔ Follow-up of implementation plans for conformance with RIPE and PGR reports of the previous year

Members also confirmed the proceedings of the 1st IQC meeting, which included the participation of the Vice Chancellor, Registrar, Deans, Controller of Examinations, Treasurer, Provost, DORIC, DOIT, and Directors/HoDs of academic and administrative units.

In his concluding remarks, the Vice Chancellor emphasized that “Quality is everybody’s responsibility.”He reiterated the importance of continuous improvement and nurturing a sustained quality culture—one that enhances institutional performance and positively impacts the communities served by the University of Swat, creating a lasting legacy for future generations.
