“Higher Education and Scientific Research in Gaza, Palestine – The Way Forward”

The University of Swat proudly participated in the Palestine–Pakistan Rectors’ Forum held today, October 16, 2025, at the OIC-COMSTECH Secretariat, Islamabad. The prestigious event brought together leading academicians, vice chancellors, and education experts from Pakistan and Palestine to discuss collaborative opportunities in higher education and scientific research.

The Forum featured addresses by eminent personalities, including Prof. Dr. M. Iqbal Choudhary, Coordinator General OIC-COMSTECH, Prof. Dr. Omar Melad, Vice Chancellor Al-Azhar University, Gaza, and H.E. Dr. Khalid Maqbool Siddiqui, Federal Minister for Federal Education and Professional Training. High-level academic exchange sessions, presentations by university heads from Gaza and Pakistan, and interactive university-to-university meetings were also held to strengthen academic ties and research collaboration.
