The University of Swat in Collaboration with the Forest Department KP, District Administration Swat and Tehsil Municipal Administration Charbagh kicked the Spring Plantation Drive 2025 at University of Swat. Faculty Members, the local community of Tehsil Charbagh and students of the University of Swat participated in the Spring Plantation Drive and planted 500 Chirpine Saplings. The Chief Guest of the event was Vice Chancellor Prof.Dr. Hassan Sher. He appreciated the efforts of the Institute of Forest Sciences for organizing this Spring Plantation Drive 2025. Prof. Dr Hassan Sher said that Pakistan is one of the most vulnerable countries to Climate change and by planting more trees we can mitigate the climate change and provide a secure future for our upcoming generations. The Assistant Commissioner Mr. Muhammad Yar appreciated the efforts of the University of Swat for leading this plantation drive in the area. The Sub Divisional Forest Officer Dr. Kamran highlights the importance of planting tree species and he emphasized that our responsibility is not only to plant trees but also to take care of this sapling till it’s maturity. The Vice Chancellor thanked the District Administration, especially Commissioner Malakand Division, Deputy Commissioner Swat and Forest Department KP for their contribution to this plantation drive.
