Entry test for admission in MS, M.Phil and Ph.D was held today at University of Swat. M.S, M.Phil and Ph.D is offered in the subjects of Botany, Computer Science, Mathematics, Environmental Sciences, Islamic Studies, Chemistry, Management Sciences, Biotechnology, Microbiology, Physics, Education, Economics, Forestry and Zoology. 1221 students applied for M.S/M.Phil admission while 243 applied for admission in Ph.D.
The Vice Chancellor University of Swat, Prof. Dr. Hassan Sher directed all Heads of the Teaching Departments to ensure merit and transparency in the admissions. He reiterated his commitment of providing quality higher education to students of the area at their doorstep. He also stated that majority of the students of the area belongs to middle or lower middle class and they cannot afford higher studies, however, University of Swat is offering higher education at a very affordable fee. The cost of higher education at University of Swat is comparatively the lowest amongst all the universities in the neighboring areas and outside Malakand division.
The result of the test will be uploaded to University of Swat’s website on March 6, 2023, Interview of eligible candidates will be held on March 13, 14, 2023, Final Merit List will be displayed on March 20-21, 2023 and classes will start from March 27, 2023.
