Introduction:
The BS program in Computer Science focuses on producing high quality computer scientists with a broad vision and strong social values. In order to produce graduates with a well-balanced personality, general awareness of social issues and basic reasoning capabilities, students are also required to take, in addition to core and elective courses of the discipline, a number of general courses in the area of humanities, social sciences, religion and ethics,
languages and communication skills. The overall program provides a highly conducive environment and an excitement driven approach that encourages creativity to accomplish results.
Vision
Graduates of the BS in Computer Science are expected to: Create and collaborate in emergent computing technologies leading to innovative solutions for industry and academia. As a computing professional, collaborate effectively on domestic and global projects and programs.
Mission
The Department of Computer Science at University of Swat aims to provide education and training at all levels to contribute to the national pool of computer scientists who can meet the demands of the industry and the academia.
Objective
The recent advances in Computer Science have been key contributors to the information technology revolution. Computer software has gained tremendous importance and a huge software industry has evolved in the last two decades. Due to its industrial significance, research and development work in this discipline has also gained a lot of importance and substantial resources are being allocated for this purpose.
BS Computer Science:

Semester wise breakup of offered course:
This is a four year degree program comprising 8 semesters with minimum of 132 semester credit hours (SCH). There will be a fall and a Spring semester in each year.
Eligibility Criteria:
HSSC or Equivalent with Mathematics securing at least 50% marks in aggregate or Equivalent
