Food and Agriculture Organization of United Nations (FAO) Explores Agro-Potential at University of Swat

The Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO) recently conducted a comprehensive inspection of the University of Swat campus, with a focus on potential areas for the plantation of Black Tea, Olive Plants, and other high-value crops. The initiative, undertaken in collaboration with the University of Swat, aims to assess the feasibility of cultivating these crops in the region. The plantation will commence on an experimental basis, with the anticipation that successful growth will pave the way for establishing a dedicated Black Tea and Olive Garden at the University of Swat. In a symbolic gesture marking the commencement of the Spring Season Plantation Drive, Prof. Dr. Hassan Sher, Vice Chancellor, University of Swat, joined the FAO team in planting a tree on the university grounds.
