University of Swat, in collaboration with the School of Inceptive Learning (SOIL-Swat), recently hosted a joint seminar under the theme “Fostering Ethical Individuals for a Better Society.” The event aimed to explore various facets of ethical development and character building.
Dr. Shafiqa Bushra, from the Islamic Studies department, provided insights into the religious perspective of ethics and character, while Mr. Faheem delivered a compelling talk on the psychological aspects of character building. Both School and University students actively engaged in the seminar by presenting speeches that were pertinent to the overarching theme.
Distinguished guests included the Dean of the Faculty of Social Sciences, Prof. Dr. Fazal Mabood, and Dean of the Faculty of Chemical Sciences, Prof. Dr. Mohammad Qasim. Their presence added valuable perspectives to the discussions.
Vice Chancellor, Prof. Dr. Hassan Sher, commended the efforts of the organizers and expressed his unwavering support for the continuation of such positive activities in the future. The seminar successfully brought together academia and students to foster a collective commitment to ethical values for a more harmonious society.
