The Green Elections 2023-24 for the Executive Council Membership of Prime Minister’s Green Youth Movement Club, University of Swat, was held under the Supervision of Dr.Sher Shah Focal Person GYM, Dr. Imran Oversight Committee Member and Ms Shazia Dilbar Over Sight Committee Member. Around 50 students in 10 different Groups contested for five positions (Captain, Vice-Captain, Thematic Leader Forestry, Thematic Leader Eco-Tourism and Communication Leader) of the GYM Executive Council. Oath Taking Ceremony of the newly elected members of GYM Executive Council of the GYM Club, University of Swat was held on November 20, 2023. The Honorable Vice Chancellor, University of Swat Prof. Dr. Hassan Sher was the Chief Guest of the Oath Taking Ceremony. The event started with the recitation of the Holy Quran. Dr. imran Focal Person KAMYAB JAWAN MARKAZ highlighted the activities of the KJ MARKAZ, Dr. Sher Shah gave an overview of the overall progress regarding the membership campaign and activities of the Green Youth Movement Club. The Vice Chancellor appreciated the progress of the GYM club and directed the Focal Person to enhance these activities and involve new admitted students in the Green Activities. The Honorable Vice Chancellor also emphasize that university of Swat working tirelessly to produce skilled graduates. He appreciated the student’s participation in the Green Election that students have enough awareness regarding the environmental conservation and have the intent to work to contribute towards conservation and stewardship. The newly elected members will carry out different Green Activities around the campus and will arrange various awareness sessions in different tourist hotspots of the District Swat.
