The team of USAID’s Higher Education System Strengthening Activity (HESSA) visited University of Swat. The team was headed by Dr. Aslam Chaudhry, Chief of Party. Mrs. Ayesha Razzaque, Deputy Chief of Party and Mr. Naveed Ali, Manager Operations were also part of the visiting team. The team met the faculty and staff of University of Swat who have received training under the HESSA project. The Vice Chancellor, University of Swat Prof. Dr. Hassan Sher briefed the visiting team regarding the overall progress of the university and also highlighted the benefits and gains of the HESSA project in regards to University of Swat. All the faculty and staff who have received trainings under the HESSA project, also briefed the team about the training they have received. They shared strategies with the team about implementation of the ideas and knowledge they have gained during their engagement in HESSA activities. Dr. Aslam Chaudhary appreciated the efforts of the Vice Chancellor for the overall uplift of the university and also appreciated the trained faculty and staff for their interest and replication of the training at University of Swat. The team also visited different academic units of the university and also paid visit to the Blended Learning Lab established at University of Swat by the Virtual University of Pakistan.
