Under the Chairmanship of Prof. Dr. Hassan Sher, the 36th meeting of Technical Review Committee held on March 16, 2023 in the Administration Block, University of Swat. The meeting was attended by Mr. Naveed Hussain Shah, Advisor Higher Education Commission for Monitoring and Evaluation, Engr. Imtiaz Hussain Gillani, Chairman National Technology Council, Higher Education Commission, Chief Planning Officer of Higher Education Department Peshawar, Engr. Zahid Khan, SRSP, Mr. Fayyaz Ahmed Khan, Treasurer, Mr. Imtiaz Ali, Registrar, Mr. Shahid Khan, Director P&D, Mr. Khurshid Alam, DD P&D, Engr. Habib Rashid, Director Works and Consultants. Mr. Khurshid Alam briefed the forum about the details of the ongoing construction activities. The forum approved the starting the construction activities of Women Campus building as per Higher Education Commission guidelines. The Vice Chancellor informed the forum that a dedicated Campus for female students will be constructed which will contain state of the art academic block, Science labs, Computer labs, Library, students Facilitation Center, Cafeteria, Hostels and students buses. The campus will provide peaceful and dedicated environment to the female students and staff. Female students will be able to obtain higher education on door step in specialized fields. This is a breakthrough achievement in the history of the University. The forum highly appreciated the enormous efforts of Prof. Dr. Hassan Sher especially in strengthening the internal monitoring, check and balance system and for enhancing capacity of the University for Women empowerment in the shape of starting dedicated Women Campus. During the meeting, the Vice Chancellor directed that tube wells of the University shall be made functional within a month so that none of the student and staff face any issue of water in the campus. Likewise, he stressed on early completion of the under construction Academic Block and Boys Hostel. The forum also discussed the funding issues from government side and appreciated the hundred percent financial progress so far. The forum directed the Supervisory Consultant to be very cautious and vigilant in maintaining the quality of construction work. The forum also perused the recommendations of the Project Inspection Committee and decided that where necessary rectification shall be made at earliest.
