Call for Proposals (Pakistan Council for Science & Technology)

Pakistan Council for Science and Technology (PCST) under its “Science, Technology and Innovation (STI) Policy Research Initiative” invites research proposals from scientists/ technologists/ engineers to boost research on the issues concerning science, technology and innovation (STI) policy in the country, and to build a network of STI policy researchers in the Pakistan.

Eligibility: 
a) Researchers and Scholars both from public and private sector (working in academia, S&T/R&D organizations and Industry) are eligible to apply.
b) Applicants should have at least a Masters degree in science / medicine/ engineering/ social science with five years’ experience.
c) Applicants must be capable of doing independent research work related to STI policy.
d) The officers of PCST are also eligible subject to laid down conditions. 

Preparing Research Proposals:
i. The Financial Assistance for each proposal may range from 0.1 to 0.5 million Rupees. 
ii. Proposals can be submitted in any area related to science, technology and innovation (STI) policy. 
iii. Maximum study duration should not exceed 12 months. 
iv. Research Study Proposal should be prepared on prescribed Proforma for “Science, Technology and Innovation (STI) Policy Research Initiative” available at the PCST website. v. Research Proposals will be selected on the basis of relevance, quality, and significance of expected policy implications. Final decision in this regard rests with PCST. 
 
Important Information:
i.  Prescribed Proforma for submitting research proposal is attached whilst further information can be found on PCST website http://www.pcst.org.pk/downloads.php.
ii. Research proposals duly endorsed by the relevant organizational heads should reach PCST no later than March 15, 2020.
