Dr. Kifayatullah Khan has successfully completed his Postdoctoral research and participated in the 2018 Asia Pacific Water Leadership Programme (APWLP)


Dr. Kifayatullah Khan, Assistant Professor, Department of Environmental and Conservation Sciences has successfully completed his Postdoctoral research in the discipline of Environmental Sciences as a Postdoctoral Fellow under the 2016 Chinese Academy of Sciences (CAS) President's International Fellowship Initiative (PIFI) at the Regional Ecological Risk Assessment and Environmental Management Group, State Key Laboratory of Urban and Regional Ecology, Research Centre for Eco-Environmental Sciences (RCEES), CAS, Beijing, China. As an active environmental ecologist in the year 2017 he published 11 manuscripts with total Impact factor more than 35 IF in the international peer reviewed journals such as, Environment International, Environmental Pollution, Journal of Environmental Sciences, Science of the Total Environment, Chemosphere, Environmental Toxicology and Pharmacology,  Journal of Environmental Chemical Engineering,with  major research interest including: Ecological health impacts and risk assessment of persistent toxic substances and emerging pollutant; environmental management and policy. Besides, he also attended 03 international conferences (I) 4-days international conference on title the 15th IWA World Conference on Anaerobic Digestion (AD-15), Chinese Academy of Sciences, Beijing, China, scheduled on October 17-20, 2017; (2)  3-days CAS-TWAS Symposium (GCT 2017) on Green Chemistry and Technology for Sustainable Development, organized by the Institute of Process Engineering (IPE), Chinese Academy of Sciences, Beijing, China, scheduled on September 4-6, 2017; (3) 3-days Yellow Sea Ecosystem Symposium (YES 2017) on title: 3rd Sino-Korea Symposium on Environmental Health and Ecological Safety, organized by the Research Center for Eco-Environmental Sciences, Chinese Academy of Sciences, Beijing, China, scheduled on July 5-7, 2017.

Recently in the year 2018 Dr, Khan has successfully participated in the 2018 Asia Pacific Water Leadership Programme (APWLP) held in Australia between 08-19 April 2018, co-hosted by the International Centre for Excellence in Water Resources Management (ICE WaRM) and theInternational Centre for Integrated Mountain Development (ICIMOD).The APWLP held in the Murray-Darling Basin of Australia, along with classroom modules in Canberra, Melbourne and Adelaide, and field visits along the Murray River with special focus on integrated river basin management (IRBM) and governance, includingvarious aspects of the integrated water resources management (IWRM) approach, including gender, ecosystems, social inclusiveness and community engagement, public and private cooperation, and water sharing between sectors and across states.
