A 2nd One Day Training Workshop on Anti-Plagiarism and Use of Turnitinwas organized by Quality Enhancement Cell, University of Swat (UoS) held on April 11, 2018 at PTCL Campus, University of Swat.
The aim of the training workshop was to strengthen the capabilities of faculty members in the use of Turnitin software and to further enlighten them about the anti-plagiarism.
Mr. MuhmmadIjaz Anwar, Chief librarian, Qauid-e-Azam University, Islamabad was the key resource person while Dr. SajjadHussain (Dy. Director, QEC, UoS), Mr. Khurshed Ahmad (Lecturer, CMC, UoS), Ms. LalaRukh (Lecturer, CMC, UoS) and Mr. Sohail Ahmad (Lecturer, CMC, UoS) were the Assistant Resource Persons of the workshop.
Mr. Nasir Shaheen (Director, QEC, UoS) was the Chief Organizer of the event. He welcomed the participants and briefed about the nature of the event. The organizer of the events include Mr. Imran (Lecturer in Sociology and In-charge, Department of social and Gender Studies, UoS), Dr. Nasir Ahmad (Assistant Professor & In-charge, Department of English and Foreign Languages, UoS), Dr. SajjadHussain (Dy. Director, QEC, UoS), Mr. Khurshed Ahmad (Lecturer, CMC, UoS), Ms. LalaRukh (Lecturer, CMC, UoS) and Mr. Sohail Ahmad (Lecturer, CMC, UoS), Dr. LutfullahSaqib (Assistant Professor, Law and Sharia, UoS), Mr. Barkat Ali and Mr. M. Ilyas Khalil.
Chief Guest of the event, Prof. Dr. Muhammad Jamal Khattak, Vice Chancellor, UoS appreciated the academic efforts of the resource person and also applauded Mr. Nasir Shaheen along with his organizing team for arranging such a fruitful and successful workshop. He urged to keep continue such kind of activities for the betterment and uplift of the faculty.
The Chief Guest distributed certificates and shields amongst the participants and organizers and presented shield to the Resource Person. Mr. Nasir Shaheen along with the resource person and Dr. Hassan Sher(Associate Professor and Former Registrar, UoS) presented a souvenir to the Chief Guest.
At the end the Stage Secretary (Mr. Imran, Lecturer in Sociology and In-charge, Department of Social and Gender Studies, UoS) extended thanks to Chief Guest, Resource Person and other participants of the workshop.
