University of Swat will hold a 2nd International Conference on “Conservation of Medicinal and Aromatic Plants (MAPs) for Improving the Livelihood of Mountain Communities through Industrial Linkages” which will start on September 02, 2018 (Monday).
The three-day conference is organized by the Center for Plant Sciences & Biodiversity, University of Swat in collaboration with the Higher Education Commission (HEC), Islamabad that will conclude on September 05, 2018.
According to chief organizer of the conference, Dr. Hassan Sher, the conference is aimed at promoting awareness and understanding regarding issues and challenges of MAPs and their impact on mountain ecosystem. He said that the conference would be helpful in establishing a functional hub of research regarding MAPs for national and international community at the Center for Plant Sciences and Biodiversity, University of Swat.
He said that 120 abstracts of research articles have been received from national and international researchers, adding that apart from Pakistan prominent researchers, keynote speakers and delegates belonging to other countries including Germany and Turkey and representatives of ICIMOD, HUC members universities will also participate in this 2nd International Conference.
