Research Interest: My area of specialization is environmental toxicology and human health risks. I have a wide range of research interests focusing on environmental contamination. The core areas of my research interests are role of microbial community in phytoremediation of metal contaminated soil, soil-plant interaction; environmental pollution and their remediation; mercury contamination of water biota (fish, mollusca and crustaceans etc.); food chain contamination with heavy metals, PAHs and pesticides; remediation (phytoremediation etc.) of soil and water; biochar application and bioaccessibility of pollutants. Currently, I am working on metal toxicity and plant growth regulation, and application of biochar for remediation of contaminated soil
