Details: I completed my PhD in Molecular Medicine in Dec’ 15 from Dr. Panwani Research Center for Molecular Medicine and Drug Research, University of Karachi, Pakistan. I did Postdoctoral Fellowship from Lawson Health Research, St’ Joseph Healthcare London, On Canada from Sep 2014 – Sep 2015. Here i also served as a Visiting PhD Scholar from Feb 2013-March 2014. I have 6-7 year stem cells research work experience. I supervise/trained undergrad and master student in their final year stem cells and diabetes research project during my short one year postdoc career. I have experienced both in Pakistan and in Canada in animal surgery (Pre and Post Surgery animal monitoring) and transgenic mouse colony management, cell isolation by FACS and cell characterization, in stem cell culture, immunohistochemistry and automated image analysis, and in RNA quantification by RTPCR. Transfection, Various microscopy techniques such as bright field, differential interference contrast and multi-channel fluorescence microscopy. The research area in which I am working is very competitive and involve regeneration of insulin producing cells.
