It is a building consisting of 60 beds rooms (two seated), a dining hall, a kitchen, a common room, a TV room, a study room, a mosque, group of lavatories and two guest rooms for female visitors. Situated on main Saidu Mingora road, near Allah-o-Akbar Masjid, it is accessible to both the campuses i.e. Wadudia Campus and Dr. Muhammad Farooq Khan Shaheed Campus. The hostel can accommodate about 120 female students. The hostel has been handed over to the university management by Higher Education Department. The Hostel has been recently renovated by university of Swat. The university authorities have provided various items / equipments for the hostel which did not previously exist.
The hostel is working directly under the control of female warden and is assisted by female house keeper. The proper management and facilities have made the hostel a home like place.
At the moment under the public and private partnership, a hostel with limited accommodation for the outstation students has been arranged. Situated at the back of Serena Hotel,it is on a walking distance from both the campuses of University of Swat. The furnishing of the hostel is under process that will be completed by the time of the new intake, with all the facilities such as T.V room, Dining hall, Electric Water Cooler. Gas, water, electricity, etc. Moreover, hospital facility is at a walking distance from the hostel. The hostel is working directly under the control of warden and is assisted by a house keeper. Vice Chancellor University of Swat Dr. Muhammad Jahanzeb Khan on Friday said that provincial government approved Rs.33.6 million for resolving transport issue while work would expectedly be started on university’ own building at Charbagh at the start of the new year after the government released the approved funds to University of Swat. A meeting of all heads of departments held here at main Odigram campus of the university, which was presided over by Vice Chancellor Prof Mohammad Jahanzeb Khan. The meeting discussed issues relating to rules for semester system, transport facility, construction of university’ own building at Charbagh and some other administrative issues. Speaking on the occasion Vice Chancellor said that provincial government in its meeting of Provincial Development Working Party (PDWP) held on December 23, 2013 in Peshawar approved 33.6 million rupees for University of Swat in connection with transport facility, adding that soon after the fund released they would upgrade the transport facility of the university so for more students of the university would benefit of the facility. Dr Jahanzeb appreciated government commitments to make university of swat a quality centre for imparting education and added that already approved funds worth of Rs.1500 million for construction of university own building would also be released soon, ” soon after releasing the funds construction work will be started on its project at Charbagh” he maintained. The Vice Chancellor also thanked all the concerned departments that made their input in getting approval of the funds.
